- Aempoman and SferaOne presented a project to reduce the electricity consumption of businesses in Manzanares using photovoltaic installations
- The mayor expressed municipal support and offered to collaborate in the installation of a solar plant near the industrial park
Manzanares, April 8, 2023 – The Association of Companies in the Industrial Estate of Manzanares (Aempoman) has presented a project to its members aiming to reduce electricity consumption costs for their businesses. SferaOne, a company specialized in energy generation, savings, and efficiency solutions, disclosed the details during an event attended by the Mayor, Julián Nieva, who expressed the municipal willingness to collaborate with any initiative benefiting the city’s business community.
The event organized by Aempoman at the Business Incubator attracted great interest and brought together numerous representatives from companies located in the industrial estate of Manzanares. As energy costs continue to rise, this project could lead to savings of between 40% and 60% on the kilowatt-hour price. «We believe it can be attractive and improve the competitiveness of the companies» explained Abraham López, the association’s manager.
Alberto Arroyo, Business Development Director of SferaOne, specialized in energy efficiency solutions, presented their project to the companies in the Manzanares industrial estate. The proposal involves installing photovoltaic facilities on their roofs or grouping them in joint spaces with individual contracts for each interested company. According to SferaOne’s proposal, these solar plants do not require an initial investment and, after fifteen years, become the property of the users, who can also amortize them in advance.
Presentation of SferaOne’s project:
SferaOne was founded in 2006, has an international presence, and is part of the Diggia Group, specialized in renewable generation projects, electric vehicle charging networks (Wenea), energy efficiency solutions for hotel chains, and photovoltaic generation and storage networks.
Their proposal for the Manzanares industrial estate is to produce clean and renewable energy with a fixed price per kilowatt, «without surprises» based on an annual consumption amount.
The Mayor of Manzanares, Julián Nieva, who attended the presentation along with the Councilor for Business Development, Manuel José Palacios, expressed the municipal willingness to collaborate with any energy sector company interested in «doing something that is necessary» in order to generate clean energy and reduce the electricity bill. «We have open arms» he said.
The Mayor also announced that the Manzanares City Council would even collaborate in the installation of a solar plant near the industrial estate to achieve this objective. «Anything that benefits our companies is good for the city» Nieva explained to the present entrepreneurs.
