Martorell, July 10, 2023 – SferaOne, a company specialized in the execution and operation of renewable generation solutions, is pleased to announce the successful project of supplying and deploying a fast charger of up to 450 kW for the electric urban buses of the Martorell City Council.
The main objective of this initiative is to promote the adoption of electric vehicles in public transportation, thereby fostering sustainable mobility and reducing polluting emissions in the city. In collaboration with the Martorell City Council, SferaOne has implemented a state-of-the-art charging system that will allow electric buses to charge quickly and efficiently.
The deployed fast charger is a Siemens DC Charger Sicharge UC 600 unit with a charging capacity of up to 450 kW. This power ensures fast and efficient charging of vehicles, reducing charging times and increasing the availability of electric buses in the City Council’s fleet.
One of the standout features of this fast charger is its Siemens Masthood charging pantograph hood, compatible with «bottom-up» pantograph types. This facilitates the charging operation of electric urban buses, enhancing comfort and efficiency in the process.
